6 years ... and continuing achievements in the field of foreign policy

  Since the inauguration of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2014, Egypt has made achievements in the field of foreign policy in various directions, the most important of which are:

 Obtaining a non-permanent seat on the Security Council

  Presidency of the Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee.

  Presidency of the Arab Summit.

  Combining membership of the African Peace and Security Council and chairing the African Heads of State and Government Committee on Climate Change.  Selecting Egypt to chair the African Union.

 * Establishing balanced relations with all countries of the world, east and west, north and south.  Deep ties have been strengthened with various countries, whether with brotherly Arab and African countries, or with major powers, especially the United States, Europe and Japan,

 * Openness to other powers;  Such as: Russia and China.

 * The foreign visits made by President Al-Sisi, and his keenness to participate in regional and international summits and forums, in addition to his bilateral visits to the countries of the world, were in the interest of Egypt politically and economically.

 * The consistent stances adopted by Egypt, especially regarding regional issues in the Middle East, especially the Syrian crisis, Libya, Yemen and Iraq.

 * The Palestinian issue remains at the top of Egypt's priorities, as Egypt, in cooperation with the Norwegian government, organized the "Cairo Conference on Palestine: Reconstructing Gaza" on (12 October 2014).  To alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and eliminate the effects of the aggression, as the conference managed to collect about $ 5.4 billion in international aid for Palestine.

 * Egypt has made unremitting efforts to stop the Syrian bloodshed, and the "Cairo Conference for the Syrian Opposition" was held in January 2015, and then a second expanded conference was held in Cairo in June 2015.  It issued two documents, "the Road Map" and the "Syrian National Charter."

 * Egypt's participation in the meetings of the international mini-committee on Syria at the ministerial and senior officials levels, while continuing its efforts to urge the international forces and the Syrian parties to push the political track.

 * Hosting the Syrian refugees, whose numbers are estimated at about half a million people, and providing all aspects of support and privileges for their access to basic services in various fields, especially education and health, just like Egyptian citizens.

 * Egypt called for an emergency meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Arab League to discuss the Turkish aggression on Syrian lands in October 2019, as the meeting condemned the Turkish aggression on Syria.

 * The Libyan crisis is at the forefront of foreign policy priorities. Egypt launched its initiative and expressed its firm position on the developments of the situation in Libya, which was based on three principles that lie in “respecting the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Libya, non-interference in the internal affairs of Libya, and preserving its political independence.”  In addition to a commitment to comprehensive dialogue and non-violence.

 * Held many meetings with various Libyan parties, especially Libyan parliamentarians, as well as regional and international powers concerned with the crisis in Libya, as well as participating in regional and international conferences on Libya.

 * Egypt supported the brotherly Libyan people and is working to restore stability and preserve the territorial integrity of Libya in the face of interference and ambitions, which was reflected in the "Cairo Declaration" initiative, which was launched on June 6, 2020 from Egypt under the auspices of President El-Sisi for a ceasefire in Libya and met with great international welcome.

 * Egypt has always supported the Yemeni legitimacy, and the Egyptian position has always been based on supporting Yemeni territorial integrity and welcoming all United Nations and Security Council resolutions regarding the situation in Yemen, as well as supporting a peaceful settlement and conducting a national dialogue in order to reach a consensual solution.

 * The year 2019 AD witnessed the launch of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan by holding the first summit of the leaders of the three countries with the participation of President Al-Sisi in Cairo on March 24, 2019 AD, during which it was agreed to advance cooperation, coordination and integration between the three countries in various fields.  While the second tripartite summit was held with the participation of President El-Sisi on the sidelines of the opening of the work of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23, 2019.

 * Since President El-Sisi assumed responsibility, Egypt has sought to play an active role in the various mechanisms of joint African action, by revitalizing cooperation between Egypt and its African brothers in all fields, which was reflected in the conduct of many visits and the reception of African officials in Egypt, and what those visits witnessed  From signing several bilateral agreements between Egypt and African countries with the aim of supporting economic cooperation.

 * The relations between Egypt and its partners in Asia are witnessing a great momentum based on the exchange of interests, and the Asian circle was the focus of President Sisi's attention, as new relations were opened with Asian countries that no Egyptian president had visited, as well as the return of visits that were interrupted to great Asian countries, and this was reflected in tours  The Asian president and his official visits to Singapore, China, Indonesia, the countries of Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, which aimed to benefit from all the experiences and experiences of these countries in the fields of development, education, industry, developing the Egyptian economy and attracting investments, and resulted in the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding in these areas.

 * Egyptian-European relations witnessed a strong boost, whether at the bilateral level through the president's visits to Germany, Italy, Britain, France, Russia, Hungary and Portugal, or multilateral, including the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Greece and Cyprus, or the development of relations to the level of partnership with "Visegrad" countries through participation.  The first for Egypt in the work of this summit.

 * Egyptian-American relations have witnessed a great boom, as Egyptian-American coordination represents an important part of the strategy of cooperation with issues and files, especially with regard to the most important and largest file in the region, which is international terrorism, terrorist organizations, and extremist ideas that have developed in their role in conflicts, as it has  Egypt has a comprehensive vision in dealing with these phenomena related to terrorism, which is based on dealing with comprehensive provisions and confronting military, security, cultural, and developmental confrontations, drying up the sources of terrorism, taking deterrent stances towards countries that embrace and financing terrorism and terrorist organizations, and cooperation between major countries in preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements and preventing  Online flow of money.

 - Six years after President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi assumed the leadership of Egypt, Egyptian diplomacy continues its efforts for the sake of elevating the homeland and protecting its interests.
